Château de Berne estate lies just in the North of Lorgues - an idyllic fortified Provencal town - where 550 hectares of woodlands and vineyards stretch out between the Mediterranean and the Gorges du Verdon. L’Auberge is, quite simply, a unique and charming hotel in an immaculately restored chateau that welcomes a handful of guests to experience the finest things in life in one of the most captivating corners of the world. Basking in seclusion, the estate is, nevertheless, just a short drive from the glittering shores and resorts of the Côte d’Azur.

Following a wedding ceremony at the picturesque church in the nearby historic town of Tourtour, you can return to the Château with your guests and enjoy the finest cuisine and hospitality as you celebrate amid the charming surroundings of the estate. Alternatively, if you choose to organise a wedding ceremony in the UK you are still welcome to receive a blessing at Château de Berne.
As well as the top quality cuisine and service, we also make it our job to find you contacts for photographers, flowers, music and marquee hire. We can also provide you with that special finishing touch, from organising a fireworks display to hiring luxury cars, through hiring helicopters or making personalised wine labels.

Surveying woodland and vineyards, courtyards and gardens, the views from the bedrooms at L’Auberge are truly breathtaking, but turning away from these picturesque landscapes you meet with an equally inspiring scene – the warm and welcoming elegance of your private suite. The chateau has a variety of enchanting rooms and settings to enhance each aspect of your day.
While each of the 19 rooms are individually designed and decorated, they all share several common features for your comfort and convenience, including: Balcony or sun terrace, fireplace (with the exception of 2 rooms : Origan and Jujube), a mini bar, TV and stereo, sofas/armchairs, dressing table and desk, generous storage facilities, traditional Provencal hand-quilted bed covers.

We are happy to arrange a bespoke Honeymoon package, which can be tailor-made to your individual wishes. We can offer various options, such as: a complimentary bottle of champagne, biscuits and flowers awaiting your arrival in your room at L'Auberge, breakfasts can be served either in the dining area or brought to you on the terrace, dinner by the fireplace in winter or on the terrace in summer, dinner in the timber-beamed dining room, an introduction to Château de Berne wine including, a guided tour of the cellars and a tutored wine tasting (the tour lasts approximately one and a half hour and can be enjoyed on any day of your choice), relaxing massage (1 hour per person).
