Bastide Vanado

This old building has been completely transformed into a traditional Provencal bastide. At the time, the bastide was a secondary residence for the bourgeoisie and nobility. The basic codes and architecture have been preserved, notably the shape of the house with a single storey and a 4-pitched roof, an odd number of windows on the main façade, French windows on the ground floor and external courtyards.

The name Vanado, in Provençal, means the enclosure in front of the sheepfold, an area that was once dedicated to the animals. A nod to Provence, but also to the many animals that populated and still populate the Château de Berne estate.

A Provençal art of living

The warm tones and use of local materials such as wood make the living spaces inviting and soothing. The spacious, typically Provençal kitchen exudes a warm ambience. Its majestic wooden dining table is ideal for hosting meals with family and friends. The lounge, bathed in natural light, opens onto the terrace.

Comfortable rooms

Set over two floors, Villa Vanado has seven tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, TV, safe and air conditioning. An outbuilding with a large bedroom and shower room is just a few steps from the main house.

In the heart of nature

Set against a lush backdrop of one hectare of pine and olive trees, relax in comfort on your sun lounger by your private pool and lose track of time.
